Steve Shanabruch is a local designer living in Chicago’s Portage Park neighborhood that specializes in illustration, identity and print design. He is best known for his Chicago Neighborhoods project, which initially began in 2011 with creating logos for over 100 of the city’s neighborhoods and eventually led to a series of WPA-inspired “Neighborhood Tourism” print series. He has immortalized many Chicago landmarks, including the Art Institute of Chicago, Buckingham Fountain, Cultural Center and, now, Orchestra Hall.
